About
THE PROGRAMME
The programme provides respite packages for (ADF) individuals/couples or families who would benefit from time away in offering a break from the unique challenges of military service. It is envisaged that the respite opportunity will offer time for reset and reconnection with self and the family unit.
It includes up to four nights’ complimentary accommodation in either Albany or Denmark and is generally located in peaceful coastal or forest settings.
Local businesses and community members contribute to a Gratitude Hamper for each visit which consists of free or discounted admission to local attractions, cafes & restaurants, handmade arts and crafts, local produce and personal thank you messages.
All Albany At Ease guests provide their own transport to the Great Southern region
ACCESS TO THE PROGRAM
Access is provided through referrals only from Western Australian Service or Ex-service organisations as these entities are best placed to verify service and recommend respite.
If prospective guests are not currently members of a Service or Ex-service organisation, please contact the Albany at Ease Co-ordinator who can offer contact with an appropriate referral service.
Upon receipt of referral, the Albany At Ease Co-ordinator liaises directly with guests to organise all details of the stay based upon preferred dates of visit.
Please contact the Albany At Ease Co-ordinator on 0410 503 682 or albanyatease@gmail.com for further information.
